Super easy dessert for a sweet tooth. You can use any flavor jelly or jam – I just prefer grape.
Cream softened butter & brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add dry ingredients and mix well (it will be crumbly).
Press half of this crumb mixture into a greased 9×13″ pan. Spread with jelly covering most of the crumb mixture. It’s okay if there are bare spots – the jelly will spread during baking.
Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top of the jelly.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes until brown on top.
Cool & cut into bars. Refrigerate for extra firmness if desired.
You can use any flavor of jelly or jam you like. Grape is just what we prefer.

Tasty! For ease of spreading the jelly, I suggest microwaving it about 1 minute in a 2-cup glass measuring cup and pouring it over the crust.

Delicious! I had a jar of grape jam that I wanted to use up, and this recipe was the perfect solution. I used all flour instead of half flour/half oats, and I added 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. The dough was QUITE crumbly, so if you want a moister crumb, I would recommend adding another 2 tbl of butter. All in all, a fantastic (& fantastically customizable!) recipe.
