Gingered Plum Crisp

Description
What to do with all those plums on your tree!
Ingredients
- Filling
- 4 cups Pitted Plums
- ½ cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Candied Ginger Finely Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Tapioca Starch
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons Ginger Powder
- Topping
- ½ cups White Whole Wheat Flour
- ½ cups Unbleached Flour
- ½ cups Granulated Sugar
- 6 Tablespoons Earth Balance Butter Spread (or Butter)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375˚
Mix the first six ingredients in a bowl and pour into a greased 9” baking dish.
Put all of the topping ingredients (the remaining four) in a food processor and pulse until the mixture starts to come together.
Sprinkle the topping over the filling and bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown
A little ice cream could be called for here….
