One of my favorite ways to get my chocolate fix. These bars have a buttery oatmeal crust and a gooey chocolate filling. Yum!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13″ pan.
Using a mixer, combine the butter, brown sugar, salt, flour, and oatmeal. (The mixture will be very crumbly). Separate 1/3 to 1/4 of the mixture out and set aside. Press the remaining amount into the bottom of the pan to form a crust. Bake for about 10 minutes.
While the bottom crust bakes for a little bit, combine the sweetened condensed milk with 3/4 of the bag of chocolate chips. (Reserve the rest for later). Heat in the microwave until the chocolate is melted and you can mix it together with the sweetened condensed milk.
Pour the mixture over the crust. Top with the remaining crumbly oatmeal mixture and chocolate chips.
Bake for 17 to 20 minutes.
***Do not over bake these. The crust and filling will turn out very hard and unpleasant to eat.

SO GOOD! They’re still too warm to eat more than a tiny corner and the wait is killing me.

These are seriously GOOD! Made them yesterday and today I took some over to my neighbors to share. I am now their favorite neighbor thanks to these bars!
