Incredible brownie pastries!
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Pastry:
In mixing bowl, beat 1/2 cup butter and cream cheese until combined. Stir in flour. Press a blob of dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased muffin pan, either a 12 or 24 cup pan will work, depending on what size you want them.
Filling:
In small saucepan, heat and stir 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips/pieces and 2 T. butter over low heat till melted, remove from heat. Stir in 1/3 cup sugar, 1 beaten egg, and 1 tsp. vanilla. Spoon mixture into each pastry cup. (About 2/3 full.)
Bake at 325 degrees for: 20-25 mins if using a 24 cup muffin pan, 30-35 mins if using a 12 cup muffin pan.
(Bake until the pastry is golden and the filling if puffed and starting to crack. We poke them with a toothpick and when the inside has set up but is still pretty fudgy we take them out. But we like them gooey inside!)
