I’ve tried many recipes and these have the most cocoa and are always everyone’s favorite brownie.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl.
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Remove from heat.
Stir in cocoa. Blend in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients and nuts.
Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch rectangular baking pan. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool before frosting, although I usually don’t frost these brownies.

These are really good, but they are a little more cake-like than I was hoping for.

I took a pan of these to a dinner party last night– I guess there were about 15 to 20 people there– and every last one of these disappeared! I’ve taken “other” brownies to larger parties with these friends before, and there are always a fair number left… not so with these. They were rich & fudgey & deeeelicious! The hostess got the last two before her husband wandered in then started fussing that he “only got half a brownie!” So, I’m making another pan today– I’m going to keep half for us and give them the other half to fight over! Oh, and they are super easy to make– one pan to wash, and one small bowl that I just wiped out with a paper towel…that made me VERY happy! Thanks for the fantastic recipe msholiday!

I just took these out of the oven a few minutes ago and they are AWSOME!! I have been looking for a really good fudgey brownie recipe and have tried a few others from TK, but my search is over. This will be my go to browie recipe. No more box mixes for me…. Thanks for posting this recipe.

I’d like to make these, but there is no sugar listed in the ingredients…how much do I use?
