One of my favorites when I was younger. They are a little rich so make sure to cut them into small squares. The mint frosting actually helps balance all the flavors. You won’t be sorry you tried these!
1. Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs. Add the remaining bar ingredients. Stir until creamy.
2. Pour into a greased 8×8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Let cool.
3. Frosting: Mix powdered sugar with butter. Then add milk and peppermint extract and mix (may need less milk or more powdered sugar, just mix to desired consistency). Add 3 drops of green food coloring (or to desired green color). Spread over brownies once they are cool. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
4. Melt square of unsweetened chocolate (you can do this in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave, heating 30 seconds at a time until melted) and then drizzle over bars.

Katyingrande – I just realized that it looks like it sys1/3 cup milk but it is actually 1/8 cup milk. Sorry about that, 1/3 cup would be a LOT of milk for the frosting!

i made this for a family gathering on Sunday and it came out great but 1/3 cup of milk was too much and made the frosting too thin. I ended up using 3 – 4 tablespoons of milk and it worked perfect. It was very good though!
