Description

The overhead shot might have fooled you into thinking that the figs are the beautiful part of this dessert. But the real beauty lies in its simplicity. Five, yes just five, ingredients go into this picture-perfect tart. And it takes a grand total of 20 minutes to put together.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil For Tart Pan
  • 1-½ cup Blanched Almond Flour
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Raw Honey
  • ½ teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 8 ounces, weight Chevre Goat Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Raw Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 pound Fresh Figs
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme To Garnish (optional)

Preparation

1. Lightly spray or grease a 7″ tart pan with 1 teaspoon of olive oil.
2. Combine blanched almond flour, 1.5 tablespoons of raw honey and sea salt in a medium bowl and mix together to form the crust dough.
3. Press crust mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
4. In a separate bowl, combine goat cheese, 1 tablespoon raw honey, and lemon juice, mixing until smooth.
5. Spoon mixture into the crust and smooth it out evenly.
6. Wash and remove the stems from the figs then slice into quarters. Arrange them on top of the goat cheese layer.
7. Garnish with sprigs of fresh thyme.
