Though I bake this in a pie pan, it is really more like a brownie. But the German chocolate gives it a milder flavor. It has been a favorite with my family over the years.
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Once it’s melted, let it cool to room temperature.
In a large mixer bowl beat eggs on high 2 minutes until foamy. Add sugars and beat at high speed for 1 minute.
At low speed of mixer blend in flour for 1 minute.
Add the vanilla into the cooled chocolate. Add it to the rest of the ingredients in your mixer bowl and beat for 1 1/2 minutes at medium speed.
Pour the mixture into a greased pie pan and bake 40 minutes in 325 degree F oven.
