This recipe earns its name with the fact that all you do is “dump” the ingredients in layers!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease a 9 x 13 pan
Dump Cherry Pie Filling and spread on bottom of pan
Dump Crushed Pineapple and spread on top
Dump and spread White cake mix
Pour melted butter on top
Sprinkle on Shredded coconut
Sprinkle on Chopped nuts.
Bake for 45 minutes until brown and bubbly
Can be eaten hot or cold – top with vanilla ice cream for an added treat!

I love this recipe!!!! I tried a new one with Spice cake and apples. It was gross! But your recipe is great!!

I love to make this with 2 cans of pie filling (a can of apple with a can of cherry makes my heart go flippity-flop), yellow cake mix and 2 sticks of butter in a 13×9 pan. Nothing more, nothing less. And I just chop up the butter and try to distribute the bits evenly. Yum!

We love this at our house with yellow cake mix and no nuts.
And, not to be too picky, but you pour the butter on top of the cake mix–that step got left out.

We call this Slop Drop in our house. It is so easy and so delicious. A definite crowd pleaser. I’ve never made it with the coconut, however, and will have to try it that way sometime.

I make this same cake (without the coconut) quite frequently. It is so easy and so delicious! It’s also good with a yellow cake mix and especially yummy with french vanilla.
