Description

This has been my favorite family recipe ever since I can remember. Always a hit, these are the most delicious bars out there!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • ½ cups Butter
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 1 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • ½ cups Chocolate Chips
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (14oz Can)
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Lightly spoon flour into a measuring cup and level off.

In a small bowl, combine flour and sugar.

Cut in 1/2 cup of butter with a fork until crumbly.

Press into the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 pan.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

While the crust cools, combine all of the filling ingredients into a large bowl and mix well.

Pour and spread over the cooled and partially baked crust. Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Cool completely.

In a small bowl, whip together the butter, sugar and vanilla until you form a smooth frosting.

Frost cooled bars and serve/eat immediately!
