This sinfully delicious dish is always a big hit, whether you are making it for company or bringing it to a potluck. So if you are a fan of all things chocolate, this is the dessert for you!
My mother-in-law was the first one to introduce me to this dish, and I’ve been hopelessly addicted ever since!
Toss Heath Bars in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes. Remove from the freezer, unwrap and place in a Ziploc bag. Pound with a rolling pin until the bars are broken into pieces.
Prepare brownies (typically using water, oil and eggs, as listed) according to package directions. Allow to cool and cut up into 1- to 2-inch squares.
Mix pudding with the required amount of milk according to package directions.
In a glass trifle bowl, layer 1/2 of the cake cubes, 1/2 of the pudding, 1/2 of the crushed candy bars, and 1/2 of the whipped topping.
Repeat layers in the same order. Save the last little bit of toffee bars to crumble and sprinkle on top before serving.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

I make this one all the time. You can buy the chocolate Heath Bar in the grocery store already crunched up. Its normally in the section next to the chocolate chips.

When my family makes this we use chocolate cake and snickers with health pieces. This is always a hit at parties I bring it to and everyone asks me to bring it again! So easy and so delicious!

LOVED this recipe…thanks so much for sharing! Looked so pretty and elegant in a trifle bowl…made my MIL feel special when I made it for her b’day.
