Creamy, luscious, velvety, rich but exceptionally light dark chocolate cream cheese frosting. Terrific as a frosting on dark chocolate cake or cupcakes!
Put the butter and cream cheese into a large bowl and cream it together using a mixer. Add the cocoa and vanilla and combine. Add the confectioners’ sugar in small batches and blend on low until combined. Scrape down sides of the bowl with each addition.
Add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until you get the consistency you desire. Frost your cake or cupcakes. Enjoy! The recipe is enough to frost one 2-layer 8-inch cake or 24 cupcakes.
I actually use this to fill my cupcakes with too—it is absolutely divine!
