Description

My Dad loves cheesecake so much that I usually make this recipe for his birthday, instead of both birthday cake AND a birthday present!

Ingredients

  • 15 Graham Crackers, Crumbed (Finely Crushed)
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 32 ounces, weight Cream Cheese (4 Packages Of 8 Ounces Each)
  • 1-½ cup White Sugar
  • ¾ cups Milk
  • 4 whole Egg
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • ¼ cups Flour

Preparation

Grease a springform pan that is at least 10 inches. Trust me, you’ll want a larger pan for this.

Combine crushed graham crackers and melted butter. When evenly combined, press mixture into the bottom of the springform pan.

In a really LARGE bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk, then add eggs one at a time, mixing each just until incorporated. Mix in sour cream, vanilla, and flour until filling is smooth. Pour filling into springform pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn oven off and let cake cool with door closed for 5 to 6 hours.

NOTE: The last part is just to make it pretty. If you’re really gung ho and have a can of pie filling handy, you can pull it out after the first “cooling” hour. It will crack like the Grand Canyon, but just cover it up with pie filling before serving and voila – beautiful and tasty! Plus, some people just really like having extra pie filling with their cheesecake.
