Description

A great twist on the old Rice Krispie Squares standby.

Ingredients

  • 9 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 12 cups Miniature Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 6 cups Cap'n Crunch Cereal
  • 6 cups Froot Loops Cereal
  • Cooking Spray

Preparation

Lightly spray a 9-by-9-by-2-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add salt and marshmallows; stir with a wooden spoon until melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies, Cap’n Crunch, and Froot Loops. Stir until combined.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. To prevent sticking, coat your hands with vegetable spray, and press the mixture evenly into the pan. Let cool, about 30 minutes.

Cut into 3-by-3-inch bars. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

I had so much fun making these today, they were so happy looking, I had to take a picture! Once I started pouring the different cereals in a bowl, I could hear Hooper say, “We’re gonna need a bigger pot! Big Big recipe. Thanks bunches for the recipe!

We made these for a bake sale, and decided to pick out all the blue fruit loops before mixing – something about the blue – it looked darker than the rest of the mix, really stood out, and we were afraid it would look like off-color olives.

The bars are really good! Kids love ‘em, and so do adults.

BTW, we also just used regular salted butter… they turned out great.
