This is a great chocolate dessert. It is made in layers. Very easy and tastes delicious.
First layer:
Mix together the butter, flour, and pecans. Press into an 8×8 greased pan. Bake 10-15 mintes at 350F. Cool.
Second layer:
Blend together cream cheese, sugar, Cool Whip and vanilla; and pour over cooled crust.
Third Layer:
Cook 1 box (use Cook and Serve, not Instant) of chocolate pie filling per instructions. Cool. Pour on top of the second layer.
Fourth Layer
Spread Cool Whip on top of pie. Sprinkle with pecans.
