Chocolaty, fudgy bar with crumb crust sprinkled with shortbread-like crumbs, chocolate chips and pecans.
Preheat oven to 350F.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter until creamy. Beat in flour, sugar and salt until crumbly. With floured fingers press 2 cups of the mixture into a 13×9″ pan. Bake 10-12 minutes, until edges are light brown. Set the rest of the ‘crumb mixture’ aside.
In a glass bowl microwave 1-1/2 cups of the chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk until chocolate melts. Once the mixture is melted and smooth, stir in vanilla; pour over crust and spread it evenly.
Stir nuts and the remaining chocolate chips into the remaining crumb mix; sprinkle over chocolate filling.
Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes, until center is set. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
