Delicious and simple pears with lots of chocolate. Who doesn’t like that combination?
Peel the pears, remove center core and level each pear so that you can place them on a tray.
In a big pot, add the wine, cinnamon, lemon zest and sugar. Cook over low heat for a few minutes until it starts boiling.
Add the pears, making sure they are all standing up straight in the pot. Cook for 25 minutes or until pears are tender. Drain and let them cool on a tray.
Continue to cook the rest of the liquid from the pears in high heat until you end up with about 4 tablespoonfuls.
Melt chocolate with cream and add the liquid from the pears.
Coat each pear with chocolate. Let it stand for 10 minutes and serve!

OMGoodness… we love pears around here and have them poached often, but adding the chocolate goes over the moon. I am going to try this for a holiday dinner party! They look so elegant
