This has to be the simplest, best-tasting dessert ever! It is perfect to take to a church covered dish supper. It feeds a crowd! Even better to make it in a disposable covered container, because there is never anything leftover to clean up!
Mix pudding, evaporated milk and water for 2 minutes with a hand mixer or whisk, then set aside.
Line a 13 x 9 (or similar size) pan with a layer of graham crackers.
Fold Cool Whip into the pudding mixture.
Layer half of the pudding mixture over graham crackers.
Add another layer of graham crackers, then layer the remaining pudding mixture over graham crackers.
Add a final layer of graham crackers.
Put the open can of frosting in the microwave for approx. 1 minute (more or less depending on microwave wattage).
Pour frosting over the top layer of graham crackers.
Refrigerate overnight or until cold (approx 4 hours). YUMM!!

I use 3 cups of lowfat (1%) milk in the pudding mix, let sit 5 min, then add the cool whip…rest about the same and it is fabulous for something that takes 10 minutes to assemble

had to substitute the evap milk for 2% and ran out of grahams so had to use 1 girl scout trefoil and some organic vanilla cookies (shortbreads) ..now I don’t have cookies but I will have this tasty dessert!!

It’s amazing how ridiculously easy this recipe is, but tastes SO good. It’s still one of the hubby’s favorite desserts!
