This is a super simple pie I stumbled upon after having leftover cream filling from a fruit pie.
Prepare pudding with milk according to the directions on the package. Put in the refrigerator to cool.
Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
Put cream cheese mixture into the pie crust. Pour cooled pudding over the cream cheese mixture. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour or until set.
Top with chocolate shavings if desired.
