Description

Delicious, decadent cheesecake!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • ½ cups Crisco Puritan Oil
  • 24 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened (3 Pkgs)
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1-½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 whole Eggs, Lightly Beaten
  • ¾ cups Mini Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips, Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Flour

Preparation

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 10″ Springform pan.

Combine cake mix & oil in a large bowl; mix well. Press into bottom of pan (may want to spray hands with Pam so cake doesn’t stick to your hands). Bake @ 350 for 22-25 min. Remove from oven. Increase oven to 450 degrees to cook the cheesecake.

Place cream cheese in a large bowl; beat at low speed adding sugar gradually. Add sour cream and vanilla, mixing until blended. Add eggs, mixing only until incorporated. Toss 1/2 cup choc chips with flour and fold into cream cheese mixture. Pour filling into crust and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup choc chips.

Bake @ 450 degrees for 5-7 min; reduce oven temperature to 250 degrees and bake for 60-65 min longer, or until set. (if it’s still jiggly, bake @ 5 min increments). Cool completely before removing from pan & refrigerate until ready to serve.

TIP: Place pan of water on bottom shelf of oven during baking to prevent cheesecake from cracking.
