Super easy and super good, adapted from Martha Stewart.
Preheat oven 350ºF. Brush an 8-inch baking pan with butter.
In a large bowl whisk melted butter and sugars until smooth. Whisk in egg and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix just until moistened. Fold in chips. Transfer batter to prepared pan; smooth top.
Bake until top is golden brown, 40-45 minutes. Set pan on wire rack and let cool completely.
