My Aunt Marisa’s famous pie: chocolate, pecans and Southern Comfort is really all you need to know.
Preheat oven to 325F.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg yolks until pale yellow. Add sugar and beat well. Add butter and mix so sugar begins to dissolve. Add bourbon and incorporate well. Mix in flour until thoroughly combined, then mix in the pecans and chocolate chips.
Divide mixture between two 9″ pie crusts. Bake at least 45 minutes or until only a few crumbs stick to your toothpick.
(I recommend Alton Brown’s pie crust recipe. I promise making your own pie crust is easy, and worth it!)
