Chocolate and blackberries doesn’t seem like a likely combination, but this delicious cobbler combines the best of both worlds in a fluffy batter almost like a pancake rather than a cobbler. It’s delicious and won’t disappoint!!
Heat oven to 375
Combine blackberries and 1 cup of sugar in a medium bowl. Incorporate well and set aside to macerate for 20 minutes.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Mix in milk and melted butter. Stir to combine.
Pour batter into ungreased 8×8 pan. Spoon blackberry mixture over batter evenly.
Spread chocolate chips over blackberries and sprinkle with a bit of sugar for crunch. Adjust chocolate chip measurement to fit your tastes, but don’t add too many or it starts to overpower the blackberries.
Bake for 45-55 minutes and allow to cool before eating.
