Description

These are the most addicting things ever! Made with caramel, oats and chocolate, what else do you need?

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Salted Butter
  • 1-¼ cup Rolled Oats
  • ¾ cups Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Store Bought Caramel Sauce (or For A Homemade Recipe Please Visit Related Post)

Preparation

Line an 8×8 pan with aluminum foil. Heavily spray the pan with cooking spray. These bars will stick to the pan! So please spray heavily!

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large microwave safe bowl melt the butter. Melt it for 30 seconds at a time until fully melted.

Then mix in the oats, brown sugar, baking soda, flour and vanilla and mix to combine everything with the melted butter.

Pour half of the butter/oat mixture into the heavily sprayed pan. Spread mixture out evenly. Bake for 10-12 minutes. The mixture will still be somewhat soupy.

Take it out of the oven and set it on the counter to rest for 3-4 minutes.

Then sprinkle chocolate chips over the mixture.

Pour the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips. Add the remaining butter/oat mixture on top and carefully and evenly spread it.

Place pan on top of a cookie sheet just in case it bubbles up and spills over.

Place pan and cookie sheet in oven and bake for 14-16 minutes. Take pan out of oven and let it cool on counter completely before cutting into squares.

These bars are extremely gooey. I cut mine, put them in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer. Mine never completely froze. They are delicious coming out of the freezer, especially on a nice warm day.
