Description

Brownies, caramel and walnuts all wrapped up in one is a slice of heaven on a plate. Uber rich and decadent, every sweet tooth will ask for the recipe! Warning: You will experience eurphoria/nirvana after having one bite! Quick and easy!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter, Melted, Divided
  • 1 whole Prepared 9-inch Graham Cracker Pie Crust
  • ¾ cups Chopped Walnuts
  • 20 pieces Caramels, Unwrapped
  • 14 ounces, fluid Sweetened Condensed Milk, Divided
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten, At Room Temperature
  • 6 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Or Milk Chocolate Chips, Melted

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 325ºF.
2. Brush 2 tablespoons melted butter onto the pie crust, moistening the crust.
3. Sprinkle nuts over the pie shell.
4. In a bowl, melt caramels with 2/3 cup condensed milk in the microwave on high in 1-minute increments, stirring after each so as to not to burn, until fully melted.
5. Pour caramel sauce over walnuts, completely covering.
6. In a bowl, combine egg, remaining butter and remaining condensed milk; mix well.
7. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave on high in 1-minute increments, stirring each time, until fully melted. Slightly cool.
8. Stir chocolate into dairy mixture thoroughly.
9. Pour mixture over caramel layer.
10. Bake 35 minutes or until center is set (dip tester into brownie layer and only a few moist crumbs should cling to the tester).
11. Let cool.
12. Serve warm.

Optional: serve with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!

Note: Slightly cool melted chocolate for about 1 minute, so when adding to the mixture, you do not cook the egg in the mixture!
