A quick and easy homemade brownie recipe with frosting and loveliness!
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9” square baking dish. Stir together melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Set aside. Relax and enjoy the beautiful day as you continue to step #2.
2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt and gradually add to the egg mixture, beating until well blended.
3. Spread into the pan and bake for 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and it smells like yummy brownies in your kitchen.
3. To make the super easy frosting, beat butter, cocoa, agave, and vanilla until blended. Add powdered sugar and milk. Beat to spreading consistency. Try not to eat it directly out of the bowl. It is tempting, but you don’t want naked brownies, do you? Of course, a little taste won’t hurt anything! Cook’s privilege in our house.
4. Spread the (remaining) frosting while the brownies are still warm but not hot. Let frosting set.
5. Cut into squares and enjoy with ice cream, birthday decorations and your loved ones.

These brownies are awesome! I was looking specifically for a dessert recipe I could make without having to go to the store for ingredients and this one worked perfectly. I especially like that the brownie itself has a lighter, fluffy texture since the frosting adds so much density and richness. I did add about 2 tbsp of homemade raspberry jam to the brownie mixture before baking. Yum!

Best. Brownies. Ever.
I didn’t have any honey, so I left that out of the frosting. Still fabulous.
I have made these twice, once leaving out the baking powder, for a “fudgier” texture. That batch was definitely my favorite.
