Two simple ingredients combine to create a sophisticated glaze for fresh berries. These parfaits are the perfect ending to a special dinner party.
Set aside 6 of the prettiest berries for a garnish.
Slice the rest of the berries thinly and set aside in a medium sized bowl.
Stir together the vinegar and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
Pour over the berries and set aside at room temperature for a half hour to allow the flavors to blend.
Put 2 or 3 small scoops of ice cream into 6 martini or other decorative footed glasses.
Spoon equal portions of the berries and glaze over each glass of ice cream.
Garnish with the reserved berries.
