We really liked these. Great way to use up some apples that I picked. After reading reviews, I did add a couple extra tablespoons of butter to the crumble mixture. Not sure if it made a huge difference but it didn’t hurt. I also added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the apples for extra flavor and am glad I did. Not overly sweet but perfectly satisfying for dessert.

Very tasty. Loved the idea of apple crumble in bar form. Like periwinkle I will add some spices to the apple mixture itself.
Thanks for the great recipe.

Made this tonight for Valentines Day and it was amazing! I usually find a way to botch recipes but this was fool proof and tasted amazing with ice cream and or cool whip! Thanks for sharing =)

Better than apple pie!! I was scared the flour mixture was too dry, so I added another half stick of butter. A little more brown sugar too. I didn’t end up using all of the flour mixture in the end–I tossed about 3/4 C. I did eight small apples and it wasn’t quite enough. I also did a little glaze with cream cheese icing and some of the leftover apple juice. This is a good recipe that I’m definitely saving.

Delicious! They took me a little while to make because my knife skills aren’t the greatest peeling and coring those apples. But the result was well worth it! I know they’d be even better with some Cool Whip on top. I would definitely make these again.

Love these and so easy to make. I made them for out of town family and they loved them. I’m making them for my 3 and 4 yr. old Halloween party at school. They taste just like apple crisp. Thanks for the great recipe.

Oh my goodness…these are delicious AND crazy easy to make. I couldn’t believe how good they were with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I will definitely make these again and again during fall.

I’m definately stopping by the local apple orchard this week! Based on all the reviews I’d be a fool not to try these. I’m going to skip the coring process though. If you have to grate them anyway, you could skip coring if you are going to grate by hand. One less step will save some time.

@bmd4me – I love all of those treats too…your son and I would get along great!
@kitchenma – Thank you so much. I struglle with food styling, so that’s really nice to hear
@natalienoods – oooh, I like the idea of muffins! But a 9×13 pan should be a staple in your kitchen. Go get one! Go…now!
@therealannabell – These are a great cure for an injured back. Be careful though… your Dad might prolong his injury, just so you keep making these
@saucydryad – Lol. Well, even singing pirates deserve a break. Involving apples and cinnamon.
