There are a few things that say “Fall is here”…and one of them is Apple Crisp! Now this recipe I have been making for years! I’m pretty sure I’ve got it perfected!
Peel, slice, and core apples. You will need about 6 large apples.
In a bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in chopped pecans. Set aside (this will be your topping).
For the filling, in large mixing bowl combine sliced apples and cinnamon-sugar mixture, then gently toss til combined. Transfer the filling to your 13×9 pan or 4 to 6 ramekins. Sprinkle the topping over the filling.
Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped topping! Yumm!
