This recipe could not be easier and you can use whatever you have for fruit, either fresh or canned. I had wanted to try a “cup a” recipe for a while now and when I saw the wonderful fresh blackberries at a local market I snatched them up and asked my friend at work for her recipe. Voila!
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Melt butter using your preferred method. Pour it into an 8 x 8 inch baking dish. In a medium sized bowl mix together flour, sugar and milk. Pour over the melted butter and spread it out. Place the fruit on top of the flour mixture starting in the middle of the batter. The fruit will spread out when the flour rises up and over it. Bake at 375 F for approximately 45 to 55 minutes (until it turns golden brown).
