Description

This recipe is perfect for bread machines. This bread is slightly sweet, is wonderful hot out of the pan and makes wonderful toast and sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hot Water Plus 1 Tablespoon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (I Use Kosher Or Sea Salt)
  • ¼ cups Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter - Or Oil Of Your Choice
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour - I Don't Level Off, So Plus A Tablespoon Or Two
  • 1 cup White Flour - Again, I Don't Level
  • ¾ cups Muesli Cereal - I Use Bob's Red Mill
  • 2 teaspoons Yeast
  • 4 Tablespoons Vital Wheat Gluten

Preparation

Add ingredients to bread machine in the order listed. I have made this recipe without the vital wheat gluten, but you get a better rise when added.

I use the “light” setting for my machine.
