A must-have dessert bread with a 30-second microwave warm up.
Dissolve yeast in warm water then add milk, margarine, eggs, sugar and salt. Then add half of the flour and stir, then gradually add more, mixing with your hands. Only add enough flour so the dough won’t be sticky and is soft and easy to handle. Knead dough until smooth and elastic. Don’t put much flour on the board. The less flour you use, the lighter your rolls will be. Put dough in a large greased bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise till double the size, then punch down and let rise again.
Divide dough in half. Roll out into a rectangle. Butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Don’t be afraid to use plenty of cinnamon and sugar. Roll up tightly and cut in 1″ slices. Place cut side down in a pan. Lay just so they touch. Let rise, covered.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Ice while hot.
Icing:
Warm the butter and milk together in the microwave. Put in a bowl and add the vanilla. Add the confectioner’s sugar to make a thin icing. You can always add more. Drizzle over the hot cinnamon rolls. The icing melts down through the bread, adding to the flavor.

Hi Jen,
I’ve tried many cinnamon roll recipe in the past..some call for bread flour, baking powder or oil in the recipe. I’ve tried it all. It’s good but it is not what I was looking for. Something is missing or ain’t right but that is not the case on this recipe. I loved it. It is deeelicious. The icing is sooo yummy. My husband don’t like the cream cheese icing .. this one he liked it. I cut the recipe in half coz it is just me and my husband now. Thank you Jen… very much. I will be making this over and over again.
