Description

These are so soft they just melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Honey
  • ½ cups Warm Water (115 Degrees F)
  • 1 package (1/4 Oz. Packet) Active Dry Yeast
  • ½ cups Sweet Potato Puree
  • 3 Tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 3-½ cups Bread Flour

Preparation

1. In the large bowl of a stand mixer with dough hook, dissolve honey in the warm water and then add yeast. Let bloom for 5 minutes.
2. Add potato puree, butter, salt, beaten eggs and flour one cup at a time. Mix until dough clings to the dough hook.
3. Place dough on a floured surface and knead for 1 minute.
4. Place dough in a large oiled bowl and let rise for 1 hour.
5. Punch down the dough and form into balls and place the balls into lightly oiled muffin pans (2 in each space).
6. Cover with a light towel and let rise one more hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes (depending on your oven, start watching them after 15 minutes), baking until golden brown.

Everyone loved these buns! I’m not very comfortable making breads and thought I had gone wrong a couple of times but the end result was still delicious! Yum!

I loved this recipe, thanks for sharing it, it filled my home with a lovely smell of bread. The type in the recipe had me searching google for the conversion of cubes to cups. …thanks for the giggle. :)
