Description

What’s better than strawberries and chocolate? Nothing, except for strawberries and Nutella!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Nutella, Divided
  • 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 2 whole Large Eggs, Divided
  • 1-¾ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 9 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Melted, Divided
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 1-¼ cup Strawberries, Mashed
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ cups Water
  • 3 Tablespoons Milk
  • 2-½ cups Powdered Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter and flour a bundt pan; set aside.

Make swirl: combine 1/2 cup of the Nutella, 6 ounces of cream cheese, and 1 large egg. Mix swirl ingredients together and set aside.

Make bread: In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together; set aside.

Melt 8 tablespoons of the butter and allow to cool slightly.

In a large bowl, beat together sugar, the melted and cooled 8 tablespoons of butter, mashed strawberries, and cinnamon. Beat in remaining egg and the water. Stir in flour mixture.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the swirl mixture onto batter, swirling it into the batter with a butter knife. Pour remaining batter on top of the swirled mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Allow to cool in pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a plate.

Make glaze: Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter with the 3 tablespoons milk over low heat until the butter melts. Beat butter and milk mixture with the remaining 1/2 cup Nutella and 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar; beat until there are no lumps. Once bread has cooled, pour on the glaze; allow glaze to set before serving.
