A slightly different take on holiday cornbread!
Preheat oven to 400°F and spray a 9″ square pan with baking spray (or coat with butter).
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine eggs, buttermilk, and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Pour batter into the hot pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
