A sweet, simple apple bread that is sure to please anyone.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Whisk together the dry ingredients thoroughly.
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar at high speed until lightened in color and texture, about 2 to 3 minutes. Beat in the flour mixture until blended and the consistency of brown sugar. Gradually beat in the eggs. Fold in the apples until just combined, along with the nuts, if desired.
Scrape the batter into a greased 8-½ x 4-½ inch (6 cup) loaf pan. Bake at 350° for about 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan on a rack for 5 to 10 minutes before unmolding to cool completely on the rack.

Hi!
Just popped one of these in the oven. Can’t wait for it to be baked. I thought the method was unusual adding the flour before the eggs but the mixture looks so light and creamy.I think I’ll try it with some of my other loaf recipes.
I had a whole bunch of apples needing used up so I made this for my mother in law and will make another for school lunches this week. I added 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves too – because I love cloves and apples.
Thanks for the recipe.

I’ve never heard of bottled apples before, you’ll have to tell me how it turns out

I can’t wait to try this. I have a ton of bottled apples that I need to use up. And I love a quick bread without 1-2 cups of oil! Butter is much better. Thanks for the recipe.
