Low fat, but rich and delicious.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a small bowl.
In a large bowl, beat pumpkin puree, brown sugar, buttermilk, egg and oil together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring just until moistened (over-mixing will cause the bread to become too tough). Add chocolate chips.
Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour.

Just…ok. My mom has a really moist delish recipe but I had buttermilk to use up so I thought I would try this one. It is tasty but a bit dry. Also, definitely needs more than 1/4 cup choc chips.
