Description

The perfect fall goodie. Fat free—well, until you slather with butter, or better yet, cream cheese!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1-½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2-½ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 1 can Pumpkin Puree (15 Oz.)
  • ¼ cups Water
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts (optional)

Preparation

Grease two regular-sized loaf pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, soda, salt, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. Stir well.

Add applesauce, eggs, pumpkin, and water. Mix batter with a mixer. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared pans.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
