Got some bread that is about to go bad? Make croutons! These are quick and easy. And they aren’t just for salads—they make a nice addition to a bowl of soup, too!
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
1. Cut up bread into your desired crouton size.
2. Put the bread in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and mix so that all pieces of bread have at least a little bit of olive oil on them. Dump spices (oregano, basil, salt and pepper) into the bowl and mix, ensuring that all the bread has some spices on them.
3. Spread the bread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. No need to grease the pan.
4. Bake croutons at 400ºF for 15 minutes or until desired crispiness.
