The recipe is for 1 cup of beer. I live in a very humid climate though. You may want to add a little more beer in other areas to fully incorporate the flour. It is a very dense crusty rustic bread. I usually make it for family get togethers and it is always a favorite!

Kikibobo, I think you need to add 1 can of beer instead of 1 cup – All the other recipes for beer bread call for 1 can –
I did notice when I tried to post a recipe, it is difficult to put the measurements in some recipes – i.e. – there may not be a spot to put “can” and when we try to put “can” it automatically makes it “cup”. Some of the beer bread recipes call for 12 oz. Hope this helps

Ok, tried this recipe, and it came out hard as a brick. I didn’t even cook it as long as it called for. The outside was extremely hard, couldn’t even cut into it, and the inside was very dry. Not sure what went wrong, but maybe I will try it again.

My favorite bread!!! I sometimes spice it up by using ale or a flavored beer. I have also added fruit.
