Wheat/white E-A-S-Y homemade bagels!
Combine flours, sugar, salt and yeast in a bowl. Stir in warm water to form a stiff dough.
Knead dough for 6-8 minutes until smooth. Cover with a tea towel and let rest for 15 minutes.
Divide dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball. Poke a hole with your finger in the center of each ball and enlarge the hole while stretching and shaping into a bagel. Cover and allow to rise for 20-30 minutes.
Boil 1 gallon water with 1 tablespoon sugar, then reduce to a simmer. Boil 2-3 bagels at a time for 7 minutes, turning once. Drain bagels on towels, then transfer to a greased sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes.
