This is not your normal gingerbread.
Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Grease or spray a 9-inch loaf pan.
In a medium saucepan, heat the brown sugar, butter and syrup until blended, about 10 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool about 15 minutes.
In a medium bowl combine the flour, salt, baking power and ginger. Add the eggs and milk and beat until blended with a wooden spoon or mixer. Add the cooled melted mixture and blend everything together.
Pour the mixture in a loaf pan and place in the middle of the oven. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean. Remove the bread from the pan and allow to cool on a wire rack.
Serve warm or cold.
