The bread was easy and quick to make, however the peach flavor was not as strong as I had hoped. I could only taste the peach flavor when I bit into a bite of peaches, and the rest of the time it tasted more like a pecan bread with spices. Still very good bread though. I’ll hang on to the recipe. Thanks!

I doubled the recipe because I had 4 c. of peaches by the time I got done cutting up all the peaches I had that were crossing over to the Darkside. I too was concerned with the batter…”stiffness” but all was well after adding peaches and their juice.
Three things I did differently – I used 1 1/4 c. softened butter because I only had 3/4 Canola.
For sugar, I used half white and half brown because I do this with my banana bread recipe…old habits die hard.
I didn’t gradually stir or gently fold in any ingredients…I have to be a dare-devil somewhere.
I made several mini-loaves in addition to a couple of medium loaves. Distributed the mini’s to neighbors and have heard all rave reviews!
Thanks for posting delish recipe!

I have a ton of peaches so searched TK for peach recipes and found this one for Fresh Peach Bread. I followed the recipe exactly and it is DELICIOUS!! The first loaf was devoured before the end of the day! My husband ate almost the whole loaf himself. Very good, highly recommend.

Very good! I didn’t have some of the ingredients. I left out the nuts, clove, nutmeg, and allspice. Also, I thought I had vanilla, but I didn’t have enough, so I used amaretto instead. I think it gave it a nice flavor.

Made this bread and it was so tasty. I did alter it a bit. Used brown sugar instead of regular sugar. Used apricot nector (3/4 C and oil) instead of 1 C oil. Omitted allspice and used 3 C of peaches only because that’s what my kind neighbor brought over to me from her yard. Also made a topping with flour, brown sugar, butter and pecans. Thanks!

Very good – I didn’t have any white sugar, so I used brown & it gave it a really nice molasses flavour

This is a huge hit in our house. Very yummy and a good way to use some of our peaches that are past their prime.

Very good! As I was making I was thinking it seemed familiar. I compared it to an apple bread recipe that I use a lot during apple season and they are very similar. So if you like this you can sub in apples in place of the peaches for a change.
