French breakfast muffins are sweet and savory at the same time. They don’t overload you with sweetness but the baked good sticks with you for a while, making it a great addition to any breakfast or if you make bigger ones a breakfast all to itself! Plus, you probably have everything you need already in your pantry!
Heat oven to 350 F. In a bowl combine butter, sugar, egg and milk. Stir in dry ingredients until well combined. Pour 1/4 cup of this batter each into a 6-count jumbo muffin pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Then remove the pan from the oven and allow muffins to cool about 5 minutes.
Melt the 1/2 cup butter in a shallow microwave safe bowl, heating it for about 30-60 seconds. Combine cinnamon and sugar in another shallow bowl.
Dip the muffin tops in melted butter then in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
