I learned this recipe long, long ago in 4-H. I loved it so much that a few years ago I asked the local extension office to find it for me—and they did! Sounds weird, but this bread is delicious when topped with a shmear of peanut butter.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom of a loaf pan.
Beat egg and milk with a fork in a bowl until blended. Add other ingredients. Stir to blend then beat vigorously with a fork for 1 minute. Batter will be thick. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 50-60 minutes until top is golden brown. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
