Description

This is a really simple and pretty healthy banana bread recipe. It’s filled with yummy chocolate chips and is great for an afternoon snack or breakfast!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • ⅔ cups Honey
  • 1-½ cup Mashed Banana
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 2  Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-¾ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cups Ground Flaxseed
  • ½ cups Oats
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips(or Chopped Nuts)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2 loaf pans.

Place softened butter and honey into a large bowl and mix well. Next add mashed banana, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add flaxseed and oats. Mix until combined. Lastly, add in chocolate chips and stir to combine.

Pour into loaf pans and bake for about 45 minutes. It may take a little longer. Enjoy!

I thought this recipe was great and I think healthy enough to serve the kids for breakfast. Even my pickiest eater liked it. We actually added extra chocolate chips.

A different recipe than I’ve ever made, it’s really moist & the oats add a neat dimension. Even as a chocoholic I’d lower the choc chips to 1/2 a cup I think or use mini chips next time, I made 4 mini loaves and baked for about 40 min. I’ll be keeping this one!
