I dare you to not eat the whole batch before they cool down! These are simple, but are incredible and delicious. The best thing is that it’s a very flexible recipe.
Prepare caramel by combining brown sugar, water, and butter in a small saucepan. Bring just to a rolling boil and remove from heat. Pour into a 9x13x2-inch glass baking dish.
Roll out the thawed bread dough into desired rectangular shape. It’s all up to you whether you want a lot of cinnamon rolls or a few big ones. Sprinkle with desired amount of cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll up from the long side and slice 1 1/2 to 2-inch wide pieces.
Place sliced rolls into the dish on top of the caramel. Cover the dish with Saran wrap and let rise to desired size (1 to 2 hours).
Bake at 350ºF for 13 to 15 minutes. Serve caramel side up!
If you wanted, you could add nuts or raisins to the carmel before adding the rolls into the dish. The great thing about this recipe is the flexibility. You can make it to suit your taste!
