Description

These crescent rolls are delicious. But best of all, they’re easy to make with no kneading necessary.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (1/4 Oz. Packet) Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water (85 Degrees)
  • ½ cups Butter, Melted, Plus 2 Tablespoons To Brush On The Crescents
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 whole Eggs, Slightly Beaten
  • 4-½ cups Flour

Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water in a large mixing bowl. Add the 1/2 cup butter, sugar, salt, and eggs. Stir well. Gradually add the flour, mixing well.

Cover and let rise in a warm place for 4 hours. (It didn’t actually take the full four hours for mine to rise.) Divide dough into four equal parts. Turn each part onto a lightly floured board. Knead four or five times. Roll into 12″ circles. Brush each circle with the remaining melted butter.

Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll up each wedge beginning at the wide end. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Let rise for 1 hour in a warm, draft-free place.

Bake at 400ºF for 10 minutes.

I have made these several times and they are super easy and ALWAYS come out tasting deliciousness–which doesn’t always happen for me! I see a lot of recipes calling for pillsbury crescent dough and I just use this instead! Also we like to put savory/sweet fillings in them to change things up: apples, nutella, cheese, spinach, eggs & sausage, etc :D

First time crecent maker, back to review: these are easy, buttery and delicious!!! I am so proud of myself. Conquering my fear of yeast, 1 recipe at a time,
