My favorite banana bread.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in eggs, one at a time, beating with each addition. Stir in banana and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour and baking powder. Blend both mixtures together. Fold in poppy seeds and walnuts.
Pour the batter evenly into two standard size loaf pans (recipe makes 2 loaves). Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour.
