A super quick 4 ingredient bread recipe.
With regards to the beer, I use non-alcoholic, but use a lighter flavored beer.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Grease a loaf pan, spread bread batter into pan, smooth down top.
Bake at 400F for 55 minutes. A hot, crusty loaf of bread every time!

I attempted this recipe twice and each time it was a flop. The first attempt I followed the recipe exactly and it was so overcooked that I couldn’t even cut it. It was literally a brick. Threw it out. The second attempt I lowered the temp and put it in for 35 minutes at max. It looked delicious but tasted awful. Not sure if it’s me or the recipe.

I followed your recipe, but cut the baking time down by ten minutes. It turned out perfect. I think mine needs more salt, however, but that might be because of the type of beer I used. Either way, it was good! Thanks.

Hi Jessicam, sorry the recipe didn’t work out for you, have you checked your oven temperature? I have made this recipe so many times and it comes out exactly every single time, except of course the crater top, a bit like mars, maybe I should rename this Mars Bread!

Made this bread tonight following the recipe exactly; didn’t care for it. It rose very unevenly, despite having been smoothed evenly into the pan. The top was overcooked at 50 minutes but the bottom was not done. Ended up tossing it out.

i’ve made this many times, the type of beer will give different taste … try a dark one and something light and compare – the flour will made a difference, too. most of the time it tends to needs more salt than the one teaspoon suggested here, but it’s all a matter of taste, isn’t it? throw in a handful of grated cheese, or sliced olives, too…that’s the fun of baking.
